Our Classes

Tumbling Classes

Our tumbling program follows a structured level system designed to ensure safe and progressive skill development. Athletes must have the listed prerequisite skills mastered before attending that class.

Level 1: Beginner Tumbling

Who It's For:

Athletes new to tumbling or working on foundational skills.

Prerequisites:

None

Skills Focus:

  • Forward rolls, backward rolls
  • Handstands and handstand holds
  • Cartwheels and one-arm cartwheels
  • Round-offs
  • Bridge kickovers and backbend work
  • Confidence building and body control

Goals to Advance:

Mastery of cartwheels, round-offs, and bridge kickovers with proper technique.

Level 2: Fundamental Tumbling

Who It's For:

Athletes ready to move beyond basics and strengthen foundational tumbling.

Prerequisites:

Forward roll, Handstand, Cartwheel, Backbend, Kickover

Skills Focus:

  • Front walkovers and back walkovers
  • Refining round-offs for power
  • Jump-to-handstand drills
  • Introduction to standing back handspring progressions
  • Core strength and body alignment

Goals to Advance:

Consistent front and back walkovers, round-offs with power, and beginning back handspring drills.

Level 3: Intermediate Tumbling

Who It's For:

Athletes progressing to connected tumbling and learning dynamic skills.

Prerequisites:

Back walkover, Front walkover, Round off

Skills Focus:

  • Standing back handspring
  • Round-off back handspring
  • Series back handsprings
  • Introduction to front handsprings
  • Core and shoulder strength for tumbling execution

Goals to Advance:

Proficiency in standing and series back handsprings and round-off back handsprings with solid technique.

Level 4: Advanced Tumbling

Who It's For:

Athletes confident in handsprings and ready to build power passes.

Prerequisites:

Standing back handspring, Round off back handspring, Multiple Back handsprings

Skills Focus:

  • Round-off back handspring back tuck
  • Standing back tuck
  • Series back handspring into tucks
  • Punch fronts

Goals to Advance:

Mastery of standing back tucks and connected tuck passes.

Level 5: Elite Tumbling

Who It's For:

Athletes pursuing high-level tumbling and competition-ready skills.

Prerequisites:

Round-off back handspring tuck, standing handspring tuck, standing tuck

Skills Focus:

  • Round-off back handspring layout
  • Standing handspring to layout
  • Full-twisting layouts (introductory drills)
  • Standing series to layout or full

Goals to Advance:

Clean layouts and introduction to twisting skills.

Level 6: Advanced Elite Tumbling

Who It's For:

Experienced athletes focusing on elite-level skills and execution.

Prerequisites:

Round-off handspring layout, Standing handspring layout, whips into backhandspring and tuck

Skills Focus:

  • Arabians and specialty passes
  • Full-twisting layouts (standing and running)
  • Double fulls (running and standing passes)
  • Elite combination passes (e.g., whips, Arabians, and punch doubles)
  • Strength and conditioning for elite tumbling

Goals to Advance:

Consistent fulls, combination elite passes, and double fulls with solid technique.

Flexibility Classes

Flyer Flexibility

This class focuses on the flexibility, strength, and balance required for flying positions.

Focus Areas:

  • Body positions: heel stretch, scorpion, scale, arabesque, and bow-and-arrow
  • Core and leg strength for balance in stunts
  • Overstretching techniques for advanced positions

Who It's For: Flyers or athletes preparing for flying positions. Elite team flyers are required to attend this class 1x a week.

General Flexibility

This class is open to all athletes aiming to increase their overall flexibility, strength, and range of motion.

Skills Focus:

  • Stretching techniques for splits, straddles, and bridges
  • Shoulder and back flexibility drills
  • Strength-building exercises

Who It's For: Athletes at all levels who want to improve their flexibility for better performance.

Strength and Conditioning

This class is designed to build the strength, endurance, and power needed for peak athletic performance in cheerleading.

Focus Areas:

  • Core strength for stability in stunts and tumbling
  • Plyometric training for explosive jumps and tumbling power
  • Upper body and grip strength for bases and flyers
  • Lower body strength for tumbling and explosive movements
  • Cardio endurance for full-out routine stamina

Who It's For: All athletes aiming to improve strength, endurance, and performance across cheerleading disciplines.

Open Gym

A supervised but unstructured time for athletes to work on any skills they choose.
